Are all of Cacao’s products made in-house?
In our 3000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space, we make every single item by hand. Most importantly, we make chocolate from the cocoa bean. This means that in our laboratory we roast, winnow, grind, temper and mold from the bean. We have been lucky to partner with a local company, Inno Concepts (www.innoconcepts.com), that have furnished our chocolate grinder. For more information, please email us at cacao@cacaoatlanta.com to receive a promotional code when purchasing a grinder.
Are your chocolates hand-made?
Yes. All of our chocolate is hand-made. Truffles are made fresh and hand molded and hand-topped. We do have chocolate manufacturing equipment to help us with tempering and enrobing.
Where does your chocolate come from?
Kristen Hard is constantly looking for single-origin and single-estate
beans from different locations around the world to create products where
we know specifically the beans’ origin and build a direct relationship
with the farmers. We look specifically for beans that have been grown
in a sustainable way and with love.
What makes our chocolate different from others? We use fresh, locally sourced, and organic ingredients without any preservatives. Each truffle, marshmallow, bar, or brownie is created with the utmost love and purest of intentions and this is evident in the tasting experience.
What is the shelf life of the truffles? The truffles have a shelf life of up to 10 days. Truffles should be stored in a cool, dry place in a maximum temperature of 70 degrees.
Can I ship internationally? For international shipping, make sure to select International Parcel Post as your shipping method during checkout. We use the most efficient shipping option to ship to foreign addresses. Shipping costs and transit times can vary considerably. Typically, shipments to Canada arrive in 6 to 10 business days. Shipments to Europe can take anywhere from 10 to 21 business days or more. For more information, contact us at (404) 221-9090 or orders@cacaoatlanta.com .
Chocolate and the heat? Chocolate is easily damaged by excessive heat and sunlight. We take every precaution to insure the integrity of your shipment. When we ship chocolate to destinations with temperatures over 70F on average, we will include an ice pack and insulation. We also strongly recommend shipping your chocolate to an address where someone is available to receive it. We cannot be responsible for melted shipments left without a signature. During the summer months, we may hold your shipment until the transit time can be expedited.
